Repeat until all of the bacon is covered with chocolate. Heat large skillet on high; add bacon strips. Turn bacon strips over as needed with tongs. Cook back until it's reduced to about ¼ of its original size and appears to be crispy.

  1. Cut bacon in half.
  2. Either fry or bake bacon.
  3. Cook until crispy but not burnt. Then drain on paper towels, paper or both till room temperature.
  4. Melt chocolate according to directions on package.
  5. Spoon chocolate onto bacon holding it over the dish. Using back of spoon, even out the chocolate then repeat on flip side of bacon strip.
  6. Lay bacon strip on wax paper. Then on the one side only I sprinkle sea salt on the chocolate end before it sets up. I like red pepper on mine along with the sea salt.
  7. Work with only about 5 pieces at a time otherwise the chocolate may set up before you have a chance to add your seasonings. Then refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving.
  8. Most important step….. - ENJOY!

Tips for Making Chocolate Covered Bacon Roast your bacon on an oven safe cooling rack set over a foil or parchment lined baking sheet for easy clean up and even cooking. Place the chocolate covered bacon on a wax paper lined baking sheet and repeat until all the bacon strips are dipped. Drizzle with melted cocoa butter or sprinkle with chopped pistachios if desired.
